Distance: 3.1 miles
Time: I don't know but fast for me!!!
On Tuesday I set out to do 5k with George and Ally. One of the guys from Bushfield had completed an Ironman on Sunday (absolute inspiration) so Sean decided he would plod along with us just to get his legs moving. The pace was actually fairly slow for me but I was enjoying listening to his stories from Sunday. All of a sudden I just thought if Sean can do this I can push myself and run a little bit faster. So off I went, and it felt good, it felt fast. About half way round I was begining to struggle but I knew I couldn't let them catch back up with me. A woman moved to the side to let me through, obviously I thanked her and she said "I wish I could do what you're doing" and that was the boost I needed to bring it home.
Unfortunately I didn't record my time but the others came in in 34 minutes so I'm fairly certain it would of been the fastest 5k I've ever done.
My little legs are speeding up!
